It was during the COVID-19 pandemic. The three idiots spent their days together, isolated from the world, in their own little bubble. They held a large amount of Dogecoin — a coin no one cared about back then. If JD hadn’t sold all of it on that morning right before Dogecoin skyrocketed, An Nyeong wouldn’t exist today.

Rooted in family tradition and a love for authentic Korean cuisine, our story began with three co-founders who shared one vision — to bring the heart and soul of SGD Tofu House(Sogongdong Soondubu)in bay area to Austin, Texas.
For over 25 years, JD’s aunt and uncle have operated SGD Tofu House, a beloved Bay Area restaurant known for its rich flavors and comforting homemade tofu soups. Inspired by their passion and dedication, we brought their cherished recipes and culinary expertise to Austin — introducing locals to the warmth of authentic Korean dishes like soondubu jjigae (soft tofu stew), bibimbap, and Korean BBQ.
